Just in Time for Mother's Day...

Won't be long and it will be magnolia time in Tennessee. Enjoy doing them in watercolors
and this recent one is going up for sale. Maybe in time for Sunday?

He's Back....

It has been awhile but I promise I have been working.
This new project is so exciting and I am looking forward to
sharing it.
Just like " 101 Pochades of Rutherford County, we will have a show and a book
with all the art in it.
Stay tuned for more as we get closer to the big event!

"Sunbather"

I titled this "Sunbather". It is a 1953 Chevy truck that has spent the last 40 years in the barn. After pulling it out and changing the points and condenser, she fired up like nobody's business. The brakes have long gone but that didn't stop us from taking it for a ride all over the farm. I just had to paint it.. rust and all. SO cool!

"Special Delivery"

This vintage bike is part of a window display at Appletons Creative Framers. It takes me back to a time when we weren't on the couch as much and headed out of doors to visit special friends. Never been to Paris but bet this might fit right in on just about any street!

Been a While....

It can't have been that long! But the blog doesn't fib. I think the clock goes faster the older you get.
Kinda like when you go on a trip the going is fast but the trip home takes forever. That;s why I titled this piece "Home Run". Thinking the horse may be heading for the barn! Will keep you posted if they make it before dark.

Winston's Place

It just seemed like a place where Winston would live .
The fall for me is just a wonderful time.
Just before the peace and calm of winter and full of the many wonderful colors. They are everywhere. We had a good two days of frost recently and it brought out the golds and reds and oranges in the leaves. Hope you like this piece and stop by and say hello to Winston if you see him out.

Truck Stop

Always wanted an old pickup and finally found one. I think a lot about what this truck has done
with its last 50 plus years. What did it haul? Where did it visit? This is a 3600 model, some say strong enough to pull down a building. Not that I plan to use it that way but just saying.
Maybe when we are out riding around  we can start up a good long conversation and just talk about
all these things. Who knows, maybe I'll get some answers!
This painting is a tribute to the days when vehicles were such a big part of life in the country.
